But what? Chief Elodie Matthews wants to know.
Meanwhile, as a new werewolf, her first official turning is rapidly approaching―and she's not looking forward to it. By all accounts, it's going to be painful and super weird, and she just doesn't have time for it.
Not when it turns out someone is hunting all the werewolves in town. No one is safe, least of all the new chief of police and the town's newest werewolf resident. With the full moon fast approaching and a killer about to unleash unholy hell upon the citizens of Hope, Alaska, it's up to Elodie Matthews to save the day.
The only problem is... she barely knows who she is anymore.
Or what she's about to become...

My Review and Rating:
We are back in Hope, Alaska with newly bitten police chief Elodie Matthews. Worried about her first turn coming up soon has her anxious. Her mind is momentarily taken off the impending turn when a local business owner reports a break-in where the perpetrator tossed every space in the bar. Nothing had been taken that the owner could see but there was a mess that point to whomever was there frantically looking for something. Her anxiety returns full force when Elodie realizes that her turning and the bar vandalism are small in comparison to the newly discovered evidence of a werewolf hunter in their midst.
New Wolf is a fast-paced supernatural story set in a small, unassuming town. There is more world building in this second book, as we learn more about the town of Hope. The development of Elodie's character continues as her life is forever changed and she must learn to adapt. I love how visual the authors have written New Wolf. Their descriptions had me right there in the middle of the snow, the trees, inside the bar, and present during the conclusion. There is a shocking twist I never saw coming and the events unfolded flawlessly. As the layers of a long-ago mystery are pulled away, I was surprised at the outcome. I enjoyed this book and I look forward to the next book.
