My Review:

'Tis the Season to Kiss Santa was a spicy novella set in Philly. Mitch Carter is a PR exec who's been given the task of playing Santa for a Christmas party in the local hospice ward at the children's hospital. Christmas doesn't sit well with Mitch but if he wants a chance to take over the PR agency in the near future, he dons the costume.

Ellie Brown has flown across the pond from the UK to Philly to care for her godmother. Part of that assistance is playing Head Elf to Santa during the party. A lover of all things Christmas, helping her godmother and spending time fawning over children is right up her alley. It's too bad that Santa Claus doesn't appear to want to be taking part.

During the party, a severe snowstorm develops, and Mitch and Ellie find themselves spending Christmas Eve together; snowbound at Ellie's home. I loved watching their romance develop in this short and quick novella. For once, this Christmas will be a joyful one for Mitch, and for Ellie, to remember and cherish.

My Review:

It was only supposed to be one night. One night of reckless abandon. One night of unbridled passion. One night of anonymity. Two lives passing in the night. The, Dr. Michaela Roarke walks into her father's home and comes face-to-face with the man she can't stop thinking about. Jackson Cantrell is shocked to find out the woman who rocked his world is none other than the governor's daughter, and he's being blackmailed into protecting her. There is a stalker on the loose who wants nothing more than to ruin Michaela's life and, in turn, the governor's.

A Night of Southern Comfort was an amazing romantic suspense novel. The author created a spectacular setting for this story, one that was easily visualized and perfectly staged. The stalker aspect was full of twists and turns and I enjoyed how the storyline played out. The revelation was shocking and the reason not all all what I preconceived in my mind. The romance was well executed and I loved that the one night stand became so much more. 

The novel is fast-paced and, at 200 pages, is a quick and captivating read. The hero and heroine were likable characters, even if Michaela was a bit stubborn. Her daddy issues clouded her mind and judgment several times. The chemistry between Michaela and Jackson was off the charts. Every time they are together the page sizzles, and I'm not just talking about their bedroom sexcapades. They also have a connection deeper than just sexual, making their relationship much more meaningful. The epilogue is outstanding!! An excellent story with loveable characters. I can't wait to dive into the next book in The Boys Are Back in Town series.

Her Royal Protector is a cute romance complete with an exotic locale, a royal hero, a heroine with low self-esteem, and a little bit of suspense. Olivia Percy is a scientist working on a thesis that requires the monitoring and evaluation of the Johari turtle. Their conservation numbers are low and her research may help deduce the reason for the decline. After making a complete fool of herself at the fundraising dinner, all Aly wants to do is get to her boat and get to the turtles. When her research companions can no longer join her, her first instinct is to stop the research then she decides to do it all alone, in waters she knows nothing about. When Cup Companion Arif al Najimi demands she move her research equipment to his yacht and not proceed on this trek alone, at first Aly declines. When Arif al Najimi indicates she will not be allowed to go without him, and indicates there may be an accident with her boat, she relents.

Their relationship gets off to a weird start. Aly is attracted to him but judges him as harsh and too good looking for someone like her. Let's just say her rotten father tanked her self-esteem to the point of annoyance in her character's inability to look beyond a mirror. As they work together, both Aly and Arif have developed some off-the-wall conspiracies about one another. Their attraction really is cute, though. Once they get beyond the no trust issues, Aly and Arif soften and then their chemistry really rocks the boat.

There is a bit of suspense and drama that add to the story. I wish the turtle research would have been expanded on a bit more. I felt Aly and Arif's over-dramatic thoughts about each other became an exhausting main focal point. I did like their bantering, it make their interactions a bit more interesting. Aly confronting her father's unfair treatment of her (unfortunately not directly with her father, though) helped improve her opinion of herself, as did Arif's assurances. 

Her Royal Protector is a cute romance that doesn't take much time to read.
