#BookReview ~ Seducing Cinderella: A Fighting for Love Novel, Book 1 by Gina L. Maxwell @Gina_L_Maxwell
He’ll teach her the art of seduction…for a price.
Seducing Cinderella and Rules of Entanglement, the first two books in the titillating, sports romance series; Fighting For Love from New York Times bestselling author Gina L. Maxwell are both now available with bonus content!

Only months before reclaiming his championship title, mixed martial artist Reid Andrews suffers a serious injury. Fortunately, his trainer knows the perfect physical therapist to get Reid healed and back into fighting shape—the little sister of Reid’s best friend. But Lucie is no longer a little girl, and she’s more than capable of handling a bad boy with a bad attitude.
Lucie Miller needs some professional help of her own. Bookish girls don’t usually land the hot guys, and she’s gone unnoticed by a certain doctor for way too long. So when her childhood crush offers her lessons in seduction in exchange for getting him ready for the biggest night of his career, Lucie jumps at the chance.
But when his feelings begin to change, Reid finds himself in the fight of his life, and it’s not even in the octagon. Now he needs to switch up his game plan if he wants to win Lucie’s heart…before she gives it to somebody else.
My Review:
Seducing Cinderella was such a fun book. The older brother’s
best friend trope was written well. I enjoyed meeting Lucie and Reid. What
started off as a way for Lucie to catch another man’s eye, quickly becomes Reid’s
next big challenge: Keep her eyes off the other guy and only on him.
Lucie and Reid are great together. Their chemistry is off
the charts. I loved watching him pull Lucie out of her own head. Reid helped
boost her confidence. He provided tips and tricks for Lucie to use to charm
those around her.
Lucie’s friend Vanessa was a wonderful addition. She was the
perfect friend for Lucie. Nessie protected Lucie, stood up for her, and knew
Lucie’s worth and tried to get her to see it, as well.
I loved this story.

You Can't Kiss the Nanny, Brady Banks by Piper Rayne
About the Book:
Brady Banks.
The Kingsmen’s best wide receiver.
Rich AF.
Hot as hell.
A stallion in the sack.
How do I know that last fact? I may have shared a one-night stand with him six months ago when I was rebounding from a broken heart.
I didn’t forget him, but I was done with him, until I discovered he’s the single dad of the boy I’ve been hired to nanny.
It’s near impossible to ignore my attraction to him now that we’re living under the same roof—but I have no choice.
First, this job pays well, and I need the money to move out of my parents’ spare room.
Second, he’s a public figure and there’s no room for me to get caught up in a scandal with him—I can’t disappoint my parents again.
Third, men like Brady were built to break hearts. I barely managed to piece mine back together after my failed engagement and Brady would do irreparable damage if I gave him the chance.
Let the longest three months of my life begin…
My Review:
Brady Banks is a notorious playboy but he just met his match in a one-night-stand. She has Brady feeling things he's never felt before. When she up and leaves without an exchange of names or numbers Brady is shocked - 1) how can she resist his charm? 2) who is she? 3) what are these feelings this woman stirred up? Six months later, Brady is still reeling and trying to figure out how he's going to find her. What he doesn't expect is for her to show up on his doorstep, introducing herself as the new nanny.
Violet, fresh off a breakup, finds herself in the bed of a one-night-stand. She does one of the hardest things at the end. She walks away - no name, no phone number, nothing. Sure, she still thinks about him and how he rocked her world, but he's a distant memory. Until she discovers he's her new high profile client, and she'll be taking care of his son.
An awkward reunion is an understatement.

#ContemporaryRomance #Review ~ The Problem with Second Chances by Piper Rayne#SecondChanceRomance @PiperRayneRocks
For Rylan Greene and me, it was simple. Love only got us so far.
Book Details:
About the Book:
I’ve known him since we were six, long before he became the professional soccer star he is now. We’ve weaved in and out of one another’s lives as rivals, teammates, friends, and lovers. Until three years ago, when my life took a hit and I ran back to my small Alaskan town, Lake Starlight, away from anything or anyone that could hurt me.
He’s never far from my mind, a constant pining ache in my heart, but I’ve convinced myself I’m better off. But now, my best friend announces her engagement and that means Rylan will return home to stand as best man to her fiancé.
He’ll be back in my orbit for three whole weeks… but I can easily keep my distance. Sure, we’ll have to walk arm in arm down the aisle together, he’ll hold me close during the bridal party dance and we’ll stand for pictures next to each other. Nothing I can’t handle.
I’m so naïve though because he’s not in town for more than twenty-four hours before he knocks on my door. I should know by now, that the two of us will never be finished business.
This second chance romance spans sixteen years of a true love match that proves these two will only ever belong to one another.
My Review:
The Problem with Second Chances is the first book in the
Lake Starlight series. Focusing on Calista and Rylan, this new series jumps ahead
with a fun combination of the Greene and Bailey families. Having grown up
together, everyone expected their endgame. Only, they got a little lost on the
way to their happily-ever-after.
The slow-burn second-chance romance was executed perfectly. Calista
and Rylan are terrific characters and I loved watching them, seeing them grow,
and watching their romance unfold.
This story was fantastic, the characters were well-developed, and the world
building is spectacular. I am a huge fan of Piper Rayne and loved this book. I
was engaged in the story from page one. The writing, the characters, the
setting, and the story took my breath away. I couldn't put the book down. I
highly recommend The Problem with Second Chances.
